Eliminating temporal correlation in quantum-dot entangled photon source by quantum interference

Semiconductor quantum dots, as promising solid-state platform, have exhibiteddeterministic photon pair generation with high polarization entanglementf\textcompwordmark idelity for quantum information applications. However, dueto temporal correlation from inherently cascaded emission, photonindistinguishability is limited, which restricts their potential scalability tomulti-photon experiments. Here, by utilizing quantum interferences to decouplepolarization entanglement from temporal correlation, we improve multi-photonentanglement f\textcompwordmark idelity from $(58.7\pm 2.2)\%$ to $(75.5\pm2.0)\%$. Our work paves the way to realize scalable and high-qualitymulti-photon states from quantum dots.
