Enhancement of particle creation in nonlinear resonant cavities

摘要
The rate of particle creation in a resonantly oscillating cavity is known tobe approximately constant at large evolution times. Employing theSchwinger-Keldysh diagrammatic technique, we show that nonlinear interactionsgenerate nonzero quantum averages and significantly enhance this rate. Toillustrate this phenomenon, we consider a massless scalar field with a quarticinteraction in a one-dimensional cavity with perfectly reflecting wallsoscillating at twice the fundamental frequency.
